Job Description
Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide weather forecasts and insights for the European Gas and Power markets. The candidate will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute to the company's commercial success.
Role involves:
- Providing meteorological forecasts and analyses for trading horizons.
- Developing statistical and numerical models.
- Translating meteorological data into insights.
- Presenting intelligence to traders and leadership.
- Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
- Collaborating with data scientists and developers.
- Adapting forecasting models to market conditions.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist.
- Understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, or Geoscience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative team player.
