ENERGY METEOROLOGIST - Dubai, UAE

Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide weather forecasts and insights for the European Gas and Power markets. The successful candidate will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities and optimize strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Providing accurate meteorological forecasts and analyses.
• Developing and maintaining statistical and numerical models.
• Translating complex meteorological data into actionable insights.
• Presenting intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Collaborating with data scientists, developers, and meteorologists.
• Staying updated on advancements in meteorology and energy trading.
• Adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or related.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative team player.
