Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to deliver impactful weather forecasts for the European Gas and Power markets. The role involves collaborating with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimizing strategies, and contributing to commercial success.
The Energy Meteorologist will be responsible for the following:
- Providing detailed meteorological forecasts for intraday to month-ahead trading.
- Developing and maintaining statistical and numerical models.
- Translating meteorological data into actionable insights.
- Presenting intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
- Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
- Working with data scientists, developers, and meteorologists to drive innovation.
- Adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.
- Upholding Cobblestone’s core values.
The requirements for the role are:
- 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist.
- Understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative team player.
