Job Description
Xometry is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Scientist to join their cost prediction team. This role involves developing predictive models using machine learning and 3D data to predict business outcomes. The ideal candidate will use their knowledge of probability and statistics to make statistical inferences from data. Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective predictive models using 3D data.
  • Write software to prepare, clean, and sample data.
  • Use cloud resources (e.g., Amazon Web Services) to process data.
  • Query and extract data from databases (Snowflake and MongoDB).
  • Use data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Looker).
  • Iterate solutions within a fast-paced environment.
  • Solve challenging, uncharted problems.
  • Work in a collaborative environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required (applied math, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering preferred).
  • M.S. or PhD in a related field highly desired.
  • 5+ years of experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques.
  • 2+ years of experience in 3D deep learning (Mesh, Volumetric, and/or Point Clouds).
  • Fluent in Python (pandas, numpy, SciPy, and scikit-learn preferred).
  • Proficient in linear algebra and statistics.
  • Familiar with scientific software principals.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR).
