SRE Engineer

Job Description

Altium is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of its Cloud Platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering and development teams to enhance product stability and manageability. They will also work closely with DevOps/Operations to drive automation initiatives and streamline deployment processes.

Role Involves:

• Understanding how an Altium Cloud Platform works
• Improving observability, including logging, monitoring, and application performance management (APM)
• Contributing to incident response and management
• Participating in infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
• Participating in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Improving reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our software solutions
• Partnering closely with engineering and development teams to enhance product stability, observability, and manageability
• Partnering closely with DevOps/Operations, drive automation initiatives, promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and streamline deployment processes

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development (ideally working with and as a .NET developer)
• Strong understanding of SDLC, microservice architecture
• Observability - NewRelic, Elastic, Grafana, PagerDuty, OTEL Knowledge
• Kubernetes clusters in production setting, AWS, IOC Knowledge
• Knowledge of CI-CD tooling Jenkins, Gitlab, GitHub, ArgoCD or similar
• 5+ years relational databases (mysql, postgres) as a plus
