Job Description
Pendo is seeking a Contracts & Legal Operations Specialist to build and scale its vendor contract processes. This role is crucial for ensuring efficiency and supporting growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating vendor guidelines, optimizing procurement collaboration, and developing scalable legal systems to support Pendo’s purchase of internal tools and systems. Additionally, they will handle commercial customer contract negotiations as part of Pendo’s Commercial team.Role Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end vendor contract lifecycle.
- Negotiate and redline procurement-related vendor contracts.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with internal teams to establish clear vendor selection processes.
- Handle commercial contract negotiations with the Revenue team.
- Design and implement best-in-class vendor contracting guidelines.
- Develop automated workflows and playbooks.
- Create a centralized vendor repository.
- Leverage data insights to optimize vendor contract management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive vendor onboarding repository.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in contract management processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant experience on procurement / vendor contracts.
- Experience negotiating SaaS, IT or technology contracts is a plus.
- Experience establishing or supporting contract management processes.
- Previous in-house legal experience in a procurement facing function.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification
- GDPR familiarity and knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
- An open and curious mind, humility, and a terrific sense of humor
