Job Description
Spektrum is seeking a Database Administrator to support key client projects for the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The NCIA is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and IT services to NATO's member countries and partners. This role involves ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities.Responsibilities include patching database servers (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), Oracle Database Servers, and hardware systems (HPE, Dell) across NATO locations. The candidate will coordinate with application owners and teams to minimize disruption and ensure seamless deployment with minimal disruption. They will also perform pre-patch validation and post-patch monitoring to ensure database integrity, performance, and hardware stability.
- Patching database servers (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Patching Oracle Database Servers and related platforms (WebLogic, OEM)
- Patching and upgrading firmware on hardware systems (HPE, Dell)
- Coordinating with application owners and relevant teams
- Performing pre-patch validation and post-patch testing
- 5+ years of experience in database administration and patch management (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database and Oracle WebLogic
- 5+ years of experience in managing and maintaining enterprise-level hardware systems
- Experience with HPE Rackmount and Blade Servers, Dell Servers, and associated storage systems
- Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
