Senior SATCOM Technician

Job Description

Spektrum is seeking a Senior SATCOM Technician to support key client projects, specifically with the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The NCIA is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology services to NATO's member countries and partners. This role involves operating, maintaining, and performing emergency interventions on the Satellite Anchor Component and associated communications facilities. The technician will also maintain site logs, activate circuits, and provide feedback for training program improvements.Spektrum offers opportunity to work with apex purchasers (NATO, UN, EU, and National Government and Defence).Role Involves:

• Operating and maintaining satellite anchor components.
• Maintaining site logs and reporting outages.
• Activating circuits and operating data networks.
• Providing feedback for training program improvements.
• Performing duties related to site functioning within NCIA and NATO.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience in satellite ground terminals/stations operation or maintenance.
• Essential basic experience with antenna sub-systems, transmit and receive chains, MODEMs, cryptographic equipment, routers, and switches.
• In-depth knowledge of digital techniques and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively.
• Higher vocational training or secondary education with relevant experience.
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
