Job Description
OneTrust is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join its innovative Enterprise data team in Madrid. This role involves enabling Marketing, Product, Sales, and Finance to explore data and take actions that differentiate the company from its competition. The Data Platform Engineer will collaborate with data engineers, data architects, domain experts, and business analysts to understand business requirements and build best-in-class data platform solutions and architecture for scale.Role involves:
  • Performing administration, maintenance, and providing support to production systems.
  • Building and automating AWS native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
  • Leveraging the right tools to deliver testable, maintainable, and modern data solutions.
  • Designing, building, and implementing automation frameworks for scale.
  • Driving technical conversations with stakeholders to understand platform needs.
  • Working effectively using scrum with multiple team members.
  • Reducing technical debt over time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of overall experience and 5+ years with large-scale data warehouse and modern data product management projects.
  • Strong experience in SQL, knowledge of dimensional modeling, and ETL pipelines.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with Python (or similar).
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining CICD solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with Databricks/Snowflake, Apache open-source tools, and ETL/Integration tools administration.
  • Experience with automating AWS or AZURE cloud native technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Redshift) and Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka).
  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience evaluating new tools and enriching existing architecture.
