Job Description

Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Senior Gas Trader to join their team in Dubai, UAE. The company, established in 2017, specializes in the European Gas and Power markets and is known for its focus on deep analytics and a culture of innovation.

The Senior Gas Trader will play a central role in expanding models, developing new trading strategies, and managing the portfolio across the curve. This role offers the opportunity to trade both physical and financial products within a dynamic commercial team.

Role Involves:

• Executing trades across major EU gas markets, focusing on physical and financial opportunities.
• Optimising storage, transportation, and capacity portfolios to maximise profitability.
• Developing and implementing data-driven trading strategies and tools for market analysis.
• Conducting thorough analysis of market fundamentals, logistics, and trends.
• Managing risk and compliance effectively.
• Contributing to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk.
• Collaborating with internal teams to enhance trading performance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in European natural gas trading.
• In-depth understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise complex portfolios.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, or Excel VBA).
• A robust network within the natural gas industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
