Job Description
Forter is seeking a Regional Alliance Manager for Greater China. This role involves developing and executing a partner business development strategy to accelerate growth in the China market. The Regional Alliance Manager will collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify selling & partnership opportunities, cultivate strategic alliances, and build relationships with key stakeholders in the e-commerce, payments, and fraud prevention ecosystem. This position reports to the Head of Business Development & Channel Alliances for APAC and has a high level of accountability to the China Country Manager.

What this role involves:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the China market region.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic alliances with digital agencies, system integrators, payment companies, and other relevant players.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Execute business development activities that drive revenue growth via Forter’s indirect revenue generating channel of partners.
  • Negotiations: Oversee negotiations, contract development, and deal structuring.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with local & regional sales teams, global product, marketing, analytics, and operations teams.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years in sales, business development, strategic alliances, or related roles in e-commerce, payments, or fraud prevention.
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce, payments, and/or fraud prevention industries.
  • Experience working with local payments companies.
  • Experience in negotiating and closing complex deals and partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities in both English & Mandarin.
  • Startup background preferred.
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed.
