Job Description

Cobblestone Energy, an energy trading company specializing in European Gas and Power markets, is seeking a Senior Gas Trader to join their dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. This role offers the opportunity to expand models, develop new trading strategies, manage the portfolio across the curve, and trade both physical and financial products. The role is a full-time, high-impact position within our dynamic Commercial team.

Role Involves

• Executing trades across major EU gas markets, focusing on both physical and financial opportunities.
• Optimising storage, transportation, and capacity portfolios to maximise profitability.
• Developing and implementing data-driven trading strategies and tools for market analysis.
• Conducting thorough analysis of market fundamentals, logistics, and trends to capitalise on trading opportunities.
• Managing risk and compliance effectively while ensuring adherence to company mandates.
• Contributing to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk and identify areas for growth.
• Collaborating with internal teams, including analytics and operations, to enhance trading performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in European natural gas trading, with a proven track record of success.
• In-depth understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise complex portfolios and identify profitable trading opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, or Excel VBA).
• A robust network within the natural gas industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
