Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Fleet Reliability, to lead a team focused on building and optimizing backend systems and data models that drive proactive support for customers. This role involves overseeing the data-driven infrastructure that can automatically push out fixes and updates based on customer demand, and building infrastructure to drive automated detection of reliability events in the field. The candidate will collaborate across the entire engineering organization, including remote teams, to define and implement strategies that integrate customer data insights into proactive customer support and product enhancement. Role involves:- Building and optimizing backend systems and data models.
- Overseeing data-driven infrastructure for automated fixes and updates.
- Building infrastructure for automated detection of reliability events.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to integrate customer data insights.
- Driving innovation and a shift-left approach through data analytics.
- Working with stakeholders to define strategies for proactive support.
- Measuring and scaling efforts to ensure fast resolutions and insights.
- Mentoring and providing technical direction to the team.
- Maintaining visibility into the team's progress through engineering quality metrics.
- Identifying gaps in current processes and suggesting improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience leading teams through complex technical challenges.
