Job Description

Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Senior Gas Trader to join their team in Dubai, UAE. This role offers the opportunity to expand models, develop new trading strategies, and manage the portfolio across the curve, trading both physical and financial products. The Senior Gas Trader will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk.

What this role involves:

• Executing trades across major EU gas markets.
• Optimising storage, transportation, and capacity portfolios.
• Developing and implementing data-driven trading strategies.
• Conducting thorough market analysis.
• Managing risk and compliance.
• Contributing to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk.
• Collaborating with internal teams.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in European natural gas trading.
• In-depth understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise complex portfolios.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, or Excel VBA).
• A robust network within the natural gas industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
