Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Manager – Data & Analytics to lead enterprise-scale data science and analytics initiatives. This role involves leading the strategy, design, and implementation of scalable analytics models in partnership with the enterprise data warehouse and big data platforms. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in data science and engineering with the business acumen to influence senior stakeholders and drive high-impact decisions.
Role involves:
- Directing and mentoring the data science team.
- Designing scalable pipelines and workflows for large-scale data processing.
- Overseeing the development of ML/AI-driven predictive and prescriptive models.
- Driving scalable analytics solutions using Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake, S3, and cloud-native big data architectures.
- Supervising automation and optimization of data integration and analysis workflows.
- Managing datasets on Snowflake and similar platforms.
- Defining practices for model monitoring, retraining, and documentation.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs and prioritize projects.
- Championing innovation by integrating emerging technologies and techniques.
- Fostering growth, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- Masters OR Ph.D. with 15 years, with 10+ years of relevant experience in Data Science.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning models in large-scale production settings.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks.
- Extensive experience with big data technologies.
- Track record of translating data into business impact.
- Strong foundation in data modeling and governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
