Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their sales team in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers, driving sales of data storage solutions. The Account Executive will contribute to growth through new customer acquisition and expanding existing relationships.
Role involves:
- Evangelizing Pure Storage's technology and data solutions.
- Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities within the SLED customer base.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop customized data storage solutions.
- Building relationships with customers to establish Pure's value.
- Leading pursuit teams and developing account plans.
- Managing a pipeline of sales activity to meet quotas.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in SLED sales.
- In-depth knowledge of the SLED procurement process.
- Ability to sell the company's story and value proposition.
- Authenticity and a desire to understand customer challenges.
- Thought leadership and a Challenger Mindset.
- Proven prospecting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue.
- Experience leading a complex sales process.
- Experience outside of traditional storage for the past consecutive 5 years
- Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving reference-able business
- Passionate about post-sales customer success
- Skilled in delivering business results and leveraging CRM tools
- 5+ years of outside sales with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development; consistently delivering $5-$10M per year in revenues
