Account Executive, SLED - Raleigh, NC

Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their sales team, focusing on State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers in Raleigh, NC. The Account Executive will be responsible for driving sales of data storage solutions to SLED customers within the defined territory. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to growth through new customer acquisition and expanding existing customer relationships.Responsibilities:

• Evangelize Pure Storage's technology and data solutions.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the SLED customer base.
• Identify customer needs, budgets, and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized data storage solutions.
• Build relationships with customers to establish Pure Storage's value.
• Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans.
• Drive and manage a healthy pipeline of sales activity.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of success in SLED sales.
• In-depth knowledge of the SLED procurement process.
• Knowledge of working with Federal system integrators.
• Ability to sell the company's story and value proposition.
• Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers.
• Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset.
• Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory.
• Expertise leading a complex sales process.
• Experience outside of traditional storage for the past 5 years.
• Consistent track record of exceeding quota.
• Passionate about post-sales customer success.
• Skilled in delivering business results and leveraging CRM tools.
• 5+ years of outside sales experience.
