Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Senior Gas Trader to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Cobblestone Energy is an energy trading company specializing in the European Gas and Power markets. Established in 2017, they are shaping the future of global commodity trading with a focus on deep analytics. The ideal candidate will play a central role in expanding models, developing new trading strategies, and managing the portfolio across the curve, with the opportunity to trade both physical and financial products.

Responsibilities include:

• Executing trades across major EU gas markets, focusing on both physical and financial opportunities.
• Optimising storage, transportation, and capacity portfolios to maximise profitability.
• Developing and implementing data-driven trading strategies and tools for market analysis.
• Conducting thorough analysis of market fundamentals, logistics, and trends to capitalise on trading opportunities.
• Managing risk and compliance effectively while ensuring adherence to company mandates.
• Contributing to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk and identify areas for growth.
• Collaborating with internal teams, including analytics and operations, to enhance trading performance.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years of experience in European natural gas trading, with a proven track record of success.
• In-depth understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise complex portfolios and identify profitable trading opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, or Excel VBA).
• A robust network within the natural gas industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
