Sr. Pre Sales Systems Engineer, Army

Pure Storage is seeking a Sr. Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to drive innovation in the data storage industry. This role involves crafting technical solutions, understanding customer challenges, and tailoring Pure Storage solutions to meet specific needs. The candidate will collaborate with the sales team and act as a technical expert during the sales process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making processes.
• Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes.
• Partner with account managers and channel partners to create a seamless customer experience.
• Showcase the advantages of Pure Storage solutions.
• Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations.
• Capture requirements and translate customer needs into innovative solutions.
• Contribute to responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
• Promote mutual roadmap and planning exchanges.
• Liaise with product and technical marketing to produce materials.
• Stay current with the competition and promote thought leadership.

Requirements:

• BS in CS, EE, or a related technical degree.
• Pre-sales experience is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
• Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software.
• Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
• Familiarity with modern web architecture.
• Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures.
• Previous experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
• Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture.
• Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, k8s, and microservices architectures.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
