Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their Manufacturing Test Team in Santa Clara. This role focuses on developing, enhancing, and maintaining advanced test solutions for Intel x86 and flash storage-based hardware products in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in test software development with Python, hands-on hardware experience, and strong collaboration skills.
The Role Involves:
- Designing, developing, and deploying software solutions for testing Intel x86 and flash storage hardware.
- Developing detailed test plans based on hardware schematics and design documents.
- Driving test tool and process requirements to cross-functional teams.
- Serving as the main technical interface between the company and Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
- Modernizing and optimizing legacy codebases.
- Leading initiatives to enhance test procedures and tools.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience supporting hardware builds in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in developing and enhancing test software, with proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
- Expertise in working with Intel x86 architecture and flash storage hardware.
- Demonstrated expertise in debugging hardware and software issues.
- Ability to create detailed, robust test plans from hardware schematics and design documentation.
- Proven ability to communicate and drive requirements across diverse teams.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers, managing prototype builds, and ensuring smooth execution of test requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development for hardware manufacturing test tools.
