Job Description

Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Senior Gas Trader to join their team in Dubai, UAE. This role is pivotal in expanding models, developing strategies, managing portfolios, and trading physical and financial products.

The Senior Gas Trader will execute trades across major EU gas markets, optimise storage and transportation, develop data-driven trading strategies, analyse market fundamentals, manage risk, contribute to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk, and collaborate with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Execute trades across major EU gas markets.
• Optimise storage, transportation, and capacity portfolios.
• Develop and implement data-driven trading strategies.
• Conduct thorough analysis of market fundamentals.
• Manage risk and compliance effectively.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk.
• Collaborate with internal teams.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in European natural gas trading.
• In-depth understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise complex portfolios.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, or Excel VBA).
• A robust network within the natural gas industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
