Job Description

PayPay, a fintech company with over 69 million users, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join their Business Planning Department as a Business Manager (FP&A). This role involves driving the growth and profitability of the PayPay Group through strategic financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, with experience in developing medium-term business plans, annual budgets, and managing performance against targets. They should also possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulating medium to long-term business plans and annual budgets.
  • Creating monthly KPI and profit/loss forecasts, scrutinizing actual results, and analyzing variances.
  • Preparing monthly financial reports for management.
  • Reviewing irregular entries related to financial closing and changes in accounting processes.
  • Managing and improving the management accounting system.
  • Designing, building, operating, and improving financial management processes to enhance profitability.
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports for shareholders and management.
  • Promoting special projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business planning within a company or as a consultant at a management consulting firm.
  • Experience in creating simulation models for business planning and communicating effectively with department heads.
  • Financial accounting knowledge to understand financial statements and forecasting models.
  • Experience in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to management.
  • Ability to consolidate financial reports from various departments into a company-wide report.
  • Experience in designing and managing profit/loss and KPI management models for new business launches.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to meet high demands from management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in business and circumstances.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a focus on improving current operations.
