Job Description

Cobblestone Energy, an energy trading company specializing in European Gas and Power markets, is seeking a Senior Gas Trader to join their team in Dubai, UAE. This role offers the opportunity to expand models, develop new trading strategies, and manage the portfolio across the curve while trading both physical and financial products.

The Senior Gas Trader will execute trades across major EU gas markets, optimize storage and transportation portfolios, and develop data-driven trading strategies. They will also conduct thorough market analysis, manage risk and compliance, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance trading performance.

Responsibilities:

• Execute trades across major EU gas markets.
• Optimise storage, transportation, and capacity portfolios.
• Develop and implement data-driven trading strategies and tools.
• Conduct thorough analysis of market fundamentals, logistics, and trends.
• Manage risk and compliance effectively.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance trading performance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in European natural gas trading, with a proven track record of success.
• In-depth understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise complex portfolios and identify profitable trading opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools and programming.
• A robust network within the natural gas industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
