Job Description
Banyan Software is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead its UK and European tax function. This role offers the opportunity to oversee corporate income and indirect tax compliance for Banyan’s UK and European subsidiaries. Reporting to the Global Tax Director, the Senior Tax Manager will collaborate with Finance and other tax team members. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UK corporate income tax and exposure to corporate income taxes for different European countries. The role requires a tax professional who can work independently and collaborate with other departments, including M&A, finance, and legal.Responsibilities include:
- Preparing, reviewing, and signing corporate income tax returns for Banyan’s UK subsidiaries.
- Managing and collaborating with external tax advisors for European subsidiaries.
- Calculating current and deferred income taxes under local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Managing indirect taxes and preparing VAT returns.
- Managing tax audits with the HMRC and other European tax authorities.
- Performing pre-acquisition tax planning and due diligence.
- Reviewing tax-related items in opening balance sheets.
- Working with the Global Tax and Treasury teams to repatriate cash.
- Ensuring withholding tax requirements are met.
- Preparing and reviewing transfer pricing calculations.
- Completing ad hoc tax projects.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- ACA/ACCA/CTA designation.
- Significant UK corporate income tax experience.
- Experience managing corporate income and indirect taxes for European entities.
- Experience collaborating with Finance and Legal teams.
- Mergers and acquisitions tax planning and due diligence experience.
- Cross-border tax experience.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
