Staff Incubation Engineer

Job Description

Snyk is seeking a Staff Incubation Engineer to join its Incubation Accelerator team. This role is based in London and offers the opportunity to lead the technical design, development, and deployment of groundbreaking products. The Staff Incubation Engineer will work on complex engineering challenges to build a transformative new product, involving full-stack development, system architecture, and end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle.

The role operates within a lean, agile environment, rapidly iterating on solutions to achieve product-market fit, while leveraging Snyk’s extensive infrastructure, customer reach, and industry insights.

What This Role Involves:

• Designing, developing, and implementing scalable, high-performance software solutions from scratch.
• Architecting systems for flexibility, scalability, and security.
• Building rapid prototypes to validate ideas and iterate on feedback.
• Analyzing and optimizing system performance.
• Designing and deploying cloud-native applications.
• Operating within a lean, agile environment.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Proven track record of building scalable, high-performance applications from scratch.
• Extensive experience in building and deploying scalable full-stack applications.
• Demonstrated experience in applying machine learning (ML) techniques.
• Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native solutions.
• Experience with agentic AI/LLM stacks (e.g., MCP, Langchain).
