Security Analyst

Job Description

Snyk is seeking a Security Analyst to join its Security Intelligence team in Tel Aviv. The Security Analyst will focus on analyzing known vulnerabilities and discovering unknown vulnerabilities in open source packages, including those distributed by the largest Linux distributions. The role involves working within an interdisciplinary security intelligence team, alongside dedicated engineers, to provide actionable analysis of vulnerabilities for developers and security professionals.

Role involves:

• Triaging and analyzing potential vulnerabilities discovered in open source dependencies
• Further researching known vulnerabilities to determine characteristics such as severity and exploitability
• Verifying or disqualifying potential vulnerabilities via hands-on research
• Assessing and building in new vulnerability sources
• Cross-pollinating security knowledge and techniques with group members
• Exploring new abilities to develop data products
• Developing and testing new ways to improve team workflows

Requirements:

• Passion for security and the exploitation problem space
• Experience navigating open source codebases and package managers
• Comfortable working with quantitative data tools (SQL, NoSQL, Python notebooks, pandas)
• Good mastery of written and spoken English expression
