Job Description

Landor, a world-leading brand specialist, is seeking a talented Type Designer to join their Milan studio. This role involves designing, prototyping, and developing bespoke typefaces for global clients, ensuring alignment with brand strategy. The Type Designer will manage the entire typographic creation process, from concept to font mastering, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate typography into brand visual identities. They will also develop and deliver compelling presentations, stay updated with design trends, and work with international teams to create multilingual fonts.Role involves:

• Designing, prototyping, and developing bespoke typefaces
• Managing the entire typographic creation process
• Developing and delivering compelling presentations
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintaining a high standard of execution
• Staying up-to-date with design trends
• Developing and customizing wordmarks
• Creating multilingual fonts

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in type design
• Proficiency in Glyphs
• Mastery of typographic development stages
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong knowledge of branding and typography
• Experience managing type design projects for global clients
• Excellent command of the English language
• Ability to develop Latin typefaces
