Grata, the leading private market dealmaking platform, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-value, customer-facing projects in a company where data is central to the product. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes ownership, and is eager to develop as a technical leader.

As a Senior Data Engineer at Grata, the individual will:

• Write high-quality production code.
• Champion best practices in code quality and development processes across the team.
• Take a leadership role in architecting the data warehouse.
• Guide the team in thoughtfully & effectively modeling our data, domains, and pipeline structures.
• Mentor other team members.

Grata is looking for candidates who possess:

• 5+ years of experience writing data pipelines and creating clean, reliable transformation processes.
• Deep experience owning major data modelling projects and making decisions based on industry standard strategies (Kimball, star schema, etc).
• Deep experience with Spark & Databricks.
• A strong sense of ownership, action-orientation, and a desire to improve the processes and systems around you.
• Experience mentoring other developers.
