Cyber Claims Counsel

Job Description

At-Bay is seeking a Cyber Claims Counsel to join their team. This is a remote position based in Los Angeles, CA. At-Bay is an InsurSec provider that helps businesses tackle cyber risk. The cyber claims team works closely with security, cyber research, product, and underwriting teams. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience handling complex cyber, tech, and media claims.

Role Involves:

• Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve cyber incidents.
• Evaluating coverage for claims and drafting coverage letters.
• Building strong relationships across the company.
• Fostering feedback loop with underwriting and security team.
• Cultivating strong relationships with brokers and insureds.
• Evaluating and managing exposure for cyber incidents and third party litigation.
• Developing strategy for handling third party litigation for cyber and technology claims.
• Reporting on significant claims to management.
• Evaluating and proactively setting reserves.
• Focusing on continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience handling complex first and third party cyber, tech, and media claims
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Dedication to delivering exceptional service to our customers
• Claims adjusting background and/or insurance practice experience as an attorney or a paralegal
• Legal degree required
• Knowledge of current cyber trends
• Excellent communication skills
