Job Description
Fortra is seeking a Technical Consultant to join their team in Mexico. This role involves planning, installing, implementing, and training customers on Fortra Power software solutions, specifically for the Robot and Powertech brands. The Technical Consultant will deliver complex software implementation projects, guide customers through best practices, and work closely with the Project Manager to ensure accurate service descriptions. They will also create acceptance test plans, configure software settings, resolve issues, and train end-users. Responsibilities include:
  • Delivering complex software implementation projects.
  • Guiding customers through best practice processes.
  • Creating high-level acceptance test plans.
  • Configuring and documenting software settings.
  • Resolving software implementation issues.
  • Training end users and providing training aids.
  • Monitoring project-related issues and building response strategies.

Requirements:
  • A four-year degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of IBM i Administration experience.
  • 2+ years of experience implementing and supporting software products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ideal candidates will also have:
  • 2+ years of Fortra’s Robot suite experience.
  • 2+ years of Fortra’s Powertech experience.
  • CL programming experience.
  • IBM i security expertise.
