Job Description

Fortra is seeking a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to join its Sales team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong technical, collaboration, and presentation skills, focusing on sales activities and business development within the Southeast Region.

The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will serve as a product and market expert for several product lines within Fortra's portfolio. He will work with leading global companies to identify customer technical and business requirements, demonstrate product capabilities, and design optimal solution proposals. The role also involves participation in marketing activities such as webinars, tradeshows, and content generation.

What this role involves:

  • Conducting pain discovery processes to understand customer needs.
  • Developing and delivering high-impact demonstrations.
  • Managing customer evaluations through trials and proof of concepts.
  • Addressing technical and functional objections during the sales process.
  • Building and defending proposals to customers.
  • Estimating professional services effort and building project plans.
  • Understanding the competition and differentiating Fortra's solutions.
  • Introducing other solutions from the company portfolio.
  • Working together in partner activities like visits, demos, proposals, events, etc.
  • Helping the partner with the recruiting process and participate in calls with potential partners.
  • Participating in partner enablement activities like tech training and functional enablement.
  • Delivering technical presentations and respond to technical questions during sales calls.
  • Representing the Company at Trade Shows, User Group, Conferences, and Virtual events.
  • Providing presentations at events where applicable.
  • Participating in online webinars on specific topics.
  • Assisting in the outbound launch of new products and release activities.
  • Serving as the market expert on products, from how customers use them to how the competition positions against them to how the field sells and services them.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a technical field, ideally Computer Science or IT, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, technical presales, technical consultancy, IT security projects, or technical support activities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in presales-related roles, ideally in the IT Security field.
  • Experience with technologies like DLP, DRP, Email Security, vulnerability management, and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal presentation, public relations, and technical training skills.
