Job Description

KRAFTON is seeking a Client Engineer to join the Palworld Mobile team. This role involves developing and maintaining the mobile version of Palworld, leveraging the original game's open-world, survival, and crafting systems while adding new mobile-optimized content. The engineer will work within the PalM Tech department, responsible for all technical aspects of the Palworld Mobile project.

The Client Engineer will develop the Unreal Engine-based client and dedicated servers based on planning specifications, collaborate with platform servers to write business logic, and modify the Unreal Engine or utilize appropriate tools to ensure stability, compatibility, optimization, automation, and quality improvement.

Role involves:

  • Developing and maintaining Palworld Mobile using Unreal Engine and network communication.
  • Adding Unreal Editor features and providing technical support based on planning and art requirements.
  • Automating tasks related to content.

Requirements:

  • Experience in developing Unreal Engine-based online multiplayer games.
  • Deep understanding and high proficiency in using the Unreal Engine game framework.
  • Experience in PC/NPC development using the Unreal Engine animation system.
  • Experience in Unreal Engine dedicated server-based game development.
  • Experience in Unreal Engine asset asynchronous loading and event-based processing.
  • Must be able to travel abroad without any restrictions.
