Backend Engineer E3 - Wallet Core

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Backend Engineer E3 to join their team in Bangalore, India. This role involves building resilient APIs and services to power BitGo's wallet services, including hot and cold wallets, indexing, staking, and SDK services. The engineer will own functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment, improve internal workflows with tooling, and continuously work on security features. Collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders in the US and other global locations is essential, potentially requiring night calls. Responsibilities include:

• Building strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to power wallet services.
• Owning functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment.
• Improving internal workflows by adding tooling.
• Working on security features to ensure the safety of custodied Bitcoin.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure consistency in technical requirements.
• Providing mentorship to peers through code reviews and education.
• Coordinating with stakeholders in the US and other global locations.

Requirements:

• At least 6+ years of back-end, server-side software development experience.
• Great at algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Strong experience with Node.JS/TypeScript, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design.
• Strong spoken English skills.
• Experience in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university.
