Senior Software Engineer - HSM

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its HSM Team. This role is based full-time onsite at their San Francisco office. The Senior Software Engineer will help BitGo build an API-first platform for businesses and developers to launch crypto products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust APIs, libraries, and services.

Responsibilities:
• Design and build scalable APIs
• Own functionality and scalability features
• Expose and document functionality to the UI
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Ensure application performance and quality
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Implement new technologies
• Participate in code reviews
• Work with product managers and designers
• Provide mentorship to peers

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of experience in cryptographic solutions for enterprise-level systems
• Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms and protocols
• Great at algorithm design and problem-solving
• Experience with C, C++ or Rust
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience with RESTful API design
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures
• Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging
• Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
