Software Engineer - Wallet Core

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Wallet Core team in Toronto. The successful candidate will contribute to building an API-first platform that empowers businesses and developers to launch crypto products. This role requires full-time onsite presence to foster team collaboration and innovative problem-solving.Responsibilities include:

• Designing and building scalable APIs, libraries, and services.
• Owning functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment.
• Exposing and documenting functionality for various users.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Ensuring application performance and quality.
• Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and bugs.
• Implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Mentoring peers.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of back-end and server-side development experience.
• Strong algorithm design and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design.
• Development experience with JVM languages (Java or Kotlin preferred).
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging.
• Experience in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, and CI tools.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
