Staff Backend Engineer

Job Description

BitGo, a leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions, is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust APIs and services to power BitGo's wallet services, including hot and cold wallets, indexing, staking, and SDK services. They will own functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment, improve internal workflows, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistency and quality.

The role involves:

• Building strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and services.
• Owning functionality and scalability features.
• Exposing and documenting functionality to the UI and third-party developers.
• Improving internal workflows by adding tooling.
• Working on security features.
• Collaborating with all engineering teams.
• Providing mentorship to peers.
• Coordinating with stakeholders in the US and other global locations.

Requirements include:

• At least 6 years of back-end, server-side software development experience.
• Strong algorithm design and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Node.JS, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Strong spoken English skills.
• Experience in Git/GitHub, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
