Job Description
Intercom, an AI-first company revolutionizing customer service, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their Customer Solutions Team. This role is based in Sydney, Australia. The Senior Sales Engineer will engage with customers, define value, and collaborate with Product, R&D, and Engineering teams.

Role involves:
  • Leading technical discovery to address customer needs
  • Delivering pre-sales experience by articulating Intercom's value
  • Conducting value-based solution reviews and technical sessions
  • Designing and leading Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  • Serving as the primary resource for RFPs and security questions
  • Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams
  • Building trust with customers and improving processes

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role
  • Strong technical acumen and experience in conducting technical discovery
  • Ability to solve problems independently and thrive in collaborative environments
  • Proven time management skills
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into Intercom solutions
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams
  • Familiarity with managing POCs, RFPs, and addressing security questions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
