Intercom, an AI-first company revolutionizing customer service, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their Customer Solutions Team. This role is based in Sydney, Australia. The Senior Sales Engineer will engage with customers, define value, and collaborate with Product, R&D, and Engineering teams.
Role involves:
- Leading technical discovery to address customer needs
- Delivering pre-sales experience by articulating Intercom's value
- Conducting value-based solution reviews and technical sessions
- Designing and leading Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Serving as the primary resource for RFPs and security questions
- Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams
- Building trust with customers and improving processes
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role
- Strong technical acumen and experience in conducting technical discovery
- Ability to solve problems independently and thrive in collaborative environments
- Proven time management skills
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into Intercom solutions
- Experience working with product and engineering teams
- Familiarity with managing POCs, RFPs, and addressing security questions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally
