Job Description
Intercom is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with strategic customers and bridge the gap between their business goals and Intercom's AI Agent for Customer Service, Fin. This role involves interacting with the R&D team, influencing roadmap decisions, and driving business impact for customers.Responsibilities:
  • Drive the adoption of Fin by helping prospects unlock the power of Intercom’s AI capabilities.
  • Embed deeply with strategic customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements.
  • Provide customers with insight to achieve outstanding results with Fin.
  • Work hands-on with customers' technical teams as a technical expert and trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Success, and Product teams.
  • Contribute to and evolve the Forward Deployed Engineering function.
  • Codify best practices and share insights gained from customer engagements.
Requirements:
  • Experience building a SaaS product.
  • Interest in AI/ML.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
  • Ability to prototype and ship software fast.
  • Proficient using and writing REST APIs.
  • Strong communicator.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers.
