Job Description
Intercom is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. The company is focused on AI customer service and is looking for someone to help define new ML features and research algorithms. This role involves working closely with product and design teams to rapidly prototype and deploy ML solutions.

The role involves:
- Identifying areas where ML can create value for customers.
- Identifying the right ML framing of product problems.
- Conducting exploratory data analysis and research.
- Researching and identifying the right algorithms and tools.
- Performing offline evaluation to gather evidence an algorithm will work.
- Working with engineers to bring prototypes to production.
- Planning, measuring & socializing learnings to inform iteration.
- Partnering deeply with the rest of team, and others, to build excellent ML products.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of ML experience.
- Intermediate programming skills.
- Solid theoretical foundation in stats and ML.
- Scientific mindset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Advanced education in ML or related field (e.g. PhD or MSc) - bonus.
- Deep experience in NLP or LLMs - bonus.
- Strong visualisation and data wrangling skills - bonus.
