Job Description
Intercom, an AI Customer Service company, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. This role involves defining new ML features, researching algorithms, and rapidly prototyping solutions for customers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about applying machine learning technology and measuring the real customer impact of deployed models.
Responsibilities:
- Identify areas where ML can create value for customers.
- Identify the right ML framing of product problems.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and research.
- Research and identify the right algorithms and tools.
- Perform offline evaluation to gather evidence an algorithm will work.
- Work with engineers to bring prototypes to production.
- Plan, measure & socialize learnings to inform iteration.
Requirements:
- Broad applied machine learning knowledge.
- 3-5 years of applied ML experience.
- Practical stats knowledge (experiment design, dealing with confounding etc.).
- Intermediate programming skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity.
- Advanced education in ML or related field (e.g. MSc).
- Scientific thinking skills.
