Product Engineer

Job Description

Intercom is seeking a Product Engineer to join their team in London. Intercom is the AI Customer Service company on a mission to help businesses provide incredible customer experiences.

As a Product Engineer, the candidate will solve real customer problems through smart and efficient application of technical knowledge. The candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary product team, building both back-end and front-end systems, and working closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts.

The role involves:

• Developing technical plans and contributing to technical architecture.
• Writing Ruby code to integrate AWS, infrastructure, platform, and SaaS technologies.
• Shipping changes to production and features quickly.
• Mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, preferably building a SaaS product.
• Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Javascript).
• Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers.
• Experience with Distributed systems.
