Job Description
Intercom, the AI Customer Service company, is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their globally distributed Information Security group. This role focuses on securing AWS environments, investigating advanced threats, and developing cloud-native attacker techniques. The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will work with engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks across Intercom's cloud infrastructure, ensuring a safe and secure engineering environment.
What this role involves:
- Leveraging cloud-native security tools to enhance security posture.
- Developing strategies, frameworks, automations and processes to advance the Detection and Response program.
- Creating Protective and Detective controls using open-source and closed-source intelligence sources.
- Collaborating with product engineering teams to manage and resolve security incidents.
- Automating security controls and compliance checks to maintain adherence to security standards.
- Partnering with infrastructure teams to expand automation and infrastructure as code practices.
Requirements:
- Experience in investigating advanced threats and detecting cloud-native attacker techniques.
- Experience in securing AWS environments, developing detections, and responding to security incidents.
- Solid understanding and demonstrated expertise managing AWS security controls.
- Proficiency in a high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby) for automation of security tasks.
- Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
