Staff Product Engineer

Job Description

Intercom, an AI Customer Service company, is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. This role involves leadership within the team and strong contributions to the engineering organization. The Staff Product Engineer will build both back-end and front-end systems, working closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts. They will also coach and mentor other engineers, partnering with the Engineering Manager to develop the team and devise technical strategy.What this role involves:

• Contributing to the technical architecture as the company grows.
• Ensuring agility, scalability, and availability.
• Contributing to all phases of software development, including ideation, prototyping, design, and implementation.
• Playing an active role in hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers.
• Raising the bar for technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence.

Requirements for this role:

• Experience building a SaaS product.
• Demonstrated impact on product and teams.
• Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language.
• Experience with Distributed systems.
• 2+ years of experience as a technical leader.
• Experience collaborating with product teams and designers.
