Intercom, an AI Customer Service company, is seeking a Staff/Principal Product Designer to elevate product quality and drive innovation. The role focuses on enhancing user experiences through interaction and visual design, particularly within Intercom's AI agent, Fin. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical skill, and leadership to impact strategic product areas.
The designer will collaborate with engineers and product managers to define problems, prototype solutions, and maintain high design standards. They will also contribute to Intercom's design culture through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities include:
- Owning end-to-end design for high-impact product areas.
- Defining new interaction patterns for AI-powered tools.
- Sketching, prototyping, and testing design ideas.
- Collaborating with engineers and PMs to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintaining high standards of craft.
- Contributing to design culture.
Requirements:
- Experience shipping complex software products.
- Proficiency in designing for multiple surfaces (desktop, mobile, chat, AI).
- Ability to balance speed and detail.
- End-to-end systems thinking.
- Understanding of engineering and prototyping skills.
