Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer

Intercom, an AI Customer Service company, is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Dublin. This role involves building distributed systems and tools to support Intercom and empower people with information. The engineer will collaborate on large-scale data-related infrastructure initiatives and provide solid foundations for high-quality data.

What this role involves:

• Evolving the Data Platform by designing and building the next generation of the stack.
• Developing, running, and supporting batch and real-time data pipelines using tools like Airflow, PlanetScale, Kinesis, Snowflake, and Tableau in AWS.
• Collaborating with product managers, data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to develop tooling and infrastructure.
• Developing automation and tooling to support the creation and discovery of high-quality analytics data.
• Implementing systems to monitor infrastructure and detect data quality issues.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-time, professional work experience in the data space using Python and SQL.
• Solid experience building and running data pipelines for large and complex datasets.
• Hands-on cloud provider experience (preferably AWS).
• Solid understanding of data security practices.
