Associate (Antitrust & Competition Economics practice)

Job Description

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking an Associate to join its Antitrust and Competition Economics practice. The ideal candidate will contribute to economic analysis for antitrust and merger cases, working alongside respected scholars and industry experts.Role involves:

• Performing economic analyses to support case theories.
• Building Excel models and performing regression analysis using Stata, R, Python, or SAS.
• Conducting economic and industry research.
• Reviewing and summarizing analyst reports and client documents.
• Assisting in the production of research summaries and expert reports.
• Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses.
• Assisting with practice development activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in financial/economic analysis, preferably in a consulting firm.
• Demonstrated understanding of economic, financial, and accounting concepts.
• Experience working with large data sets in Excel and/or statistical analysis programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
• Clear interest in consulting.
