Job Description

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Consulting Associate to join its European Competition practice in Dusseldorf or Munich, Germany. The role involves providing economic advice on competition policy and regulation to major law firms, corporations, and governments. The Consulting Associate will work closely with senior consultants, scholars, and industry experts on project teams, contributing to high-profile competition cases in Europe.

Role Involves:

• Identifying potential issues and conducting analyses to illustrate economic arguments.
• Assembling evidence from data and research to support expert opinions.
• Programming, building models, and performing regression analyses in statistical analysis programs.
• Assisting in the development and presentation of client deliverables.
• Interacting with clients and communicating complicated economic concepts.
• Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
• Participating in practice-building activities.

Requirements:

• Strong first degree in economics and a post-graduate qualification (MSc/MPhil) in economics.
• Up to 3 years of relevant work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority.
• High degree of numeracy and familiarity with econometric techniques.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
