Principal (European Competition practice)

Job Description

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Principal to join its European Competition practice in London. The role involves providing economic advice on competition policy and regulation to firms and their legal advisors. CRA offers internal training programs focused on problem-solving, communication, and leadership.Responsibilities:

• Work closely with academics and attorneys on finance, strategy, and economics issues.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients.
• Develop and present client deliverables, including expert reports.
• Independently conceptualize and design complex economic and financial models.
• Manage the research process and supervise junior analysts.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
• Provide economic analyses of mergers and other competition matters.
• Assist with recruiting and training new colleagues.

Requirements:

• Strong achievement in a graduate degree program (Masters or PhD) in economics or a quantitative discipline.
• Extensive and relevant experience (7-11 years), preferably in economics/antitrust consulting.
• Demonstrated understanding of economic concepts and quantitative analysis methods.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Executive client presence and interaction skills.
