Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Senior Associate to join their European Competition practice in London. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to significant competition cases and shape their outcomes.CRA is a global consulting firm providing economic, financial, and business management expertise to law firms, corporations, and governments. The European Competition practice specializes in economic advice on competition policy and regulation, assisting clients in merger and acquisition opportunities, cartel investigations, and regulatory proceedings.
Role Involves: - Assisting Vice Presidents and senior staff with conceptual and practical input on competition cases.
- Playing a key role in shaping significant competition cases in Europe.
Requirements: - First degree in economics and a PhD/DPhil in economics from a well-regarded institution.
- Strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialism with large data sets or Industrial Organisation and/or statistics/econometrics.
- Up to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Non-PhD applicants should have strong academic achievement in a Master's program, plus 5-7 years' relevant work experience.
- Professional work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of economic concepts, competition/regulatory authorities, competition policy and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
