Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking an Associate Principal/Utility Regulation and Finance to join their Energy Practice. The ideal candidate will advise clients in the regulated energy space on critical business issues. CRA's experts are recognized leaders, offering industry insights to navigate complexity and achieve competitive advantage. They represent utilities and energy firms before regulators, resolve disputes, support investors, and plan the energy grid of the future. Role involves:
- Providing advice and expert testimony on state and federal rate cases.
- Partnering with stakeholders across the supply chain.
- Developing strategies to create value and reduce risk for customers and shareholders.
- Managing projects on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience working/consulting with energy regulated firms.
- Experience contributing to impactful reports and analyses.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant financial/economics/business discipline is required; a master’s degree is strongly desired.
- Ability to independently manage consulting teams and complex assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with ratemaking proceedings, disputes, or other docketed matters.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness.
